GEOLOGY assignment

This lab is to be done at the website given in the link below. You will turn in the “Certificate of Completion” for credit. All the directions are given. A little side note about this site, you should have your java up to date because when it asks if you want to download you may be exited off the assignment webpage. Then you will have to start the assignment over again. Check your pop-up blocker for the option to update the java.

Complete the river discharge exercise following the link below. Partial credit is accepted for this assignment. There are 25 pages in it, meaning the certificate is worth 25 points. If for some reason you cannot get it to work (first try a PC, if you are on Mac; if you have a PC try a computer on campus) you may upload a screen shot of the last page you made it to on the site. It will say the page number at the top for example: Page 5 of 25 equal 5 points for the assignment, upload that screen shot where it states “Upload River Discharge Certificate.” Click http://www.sciencecourseware.org/VirtualRiver/Files/page01a.html link to open resource.

Field Note Collaborations for Week Two

Field notes are a very important part of anthropological research. Anthropologists use their field notes to make records about what they are seeing and thinking while conducting research. For your collaboration you are being asked to make your own field notes, based on the assigned course materials. As you read the assigned material or watch an assigned video for this week, download the Weekly Study Field Notes document and fill out a new set of field notes in which you are expected to write down important concepts, parts of your reading that you might have questions about, or even content that you find surprising or interesting. Just like the notes that an anthropologist makes in the field, your notes must be clear and easy to read because you will be uploading and sharing them with your peers in the collaboration.
